WATER: MILLET RATIO

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
  Regular Rice  

Barnyard Millet

Kodo Millet 

1:2 Water if Pressure Cooked

1:3.5 Water if Open Vessel Cooking                                                                                             

Pressure Cook until 3 Whistles.

Allow Rice to cool for 5 Mins before you consume

If Open vessel cooking, soak millet for 30 mins before you start cooking

Bisi-Bele-Bath     

Foxtail Millet

Little Millet

1:4.5 Water                   Pressure cook until 3 Whistles. You can simply replace regular rice with Millet while cooking bisi-bele-bath. All other process remains same.
Pongal or Kichdi

1:4 Water Replace the regular rice with one of the recommended Millets. Pressure Cook until 3 Whistles
Curd Rice

1:2 Water Pressure cook the Millet rice until 3 Whistles. Allow the rice to cool for 10 mins before you start mixing the curds into the rice
Dosa or Paddu

-NA- Making Millet Dosa batter is exactly same as making dosa batter with regular rice except that you replace the regular rice with Millet rice. 
IDLI Millet Idli Rava -NA- Making millet idli batter is exactly same as making idli batter with regular rice except that you replace the regular rice with millet rice

1: 3.5 Water Follow exactly same procedure as you do with making upma with regular rava but instead of regular rava use millet rava. Millet Upma will take more time to cook, at-least 30 mins, so be patient.

Millet Vanghi Bath/Puliyogre/Lemon Rice
